# Cofactor emerges from stealth mode backed with €1.3M in funding, to improve retailer-supplier collaboration

[Cofactor](https://www.cofactorplatform.com/careers/), a Stockholm-based startup that offers an AI platform for retailer–supplier collaboration, to automate commercial work and keep commitments in sync, has emerged from stealth mode this week, and [announced](https://cofactorplatform.com/resources/preseed/) a pre-seed funding round.

The company secured €1.3M in first funding led by PSV Tech. Greens Ventures, Angel Invest, and angel investors such as Lars Lindgren, Kræn Østergård Nielsen, Per Thau, and Pascal Clouzard, also participated.

Cofactor will use this capital for the international expansion, including the US. 

The Swedish startup was founded by Andreas Willgert, Robin Bartholdson, and Alexander Back. The former two previously founded the promotion planning and analytics company Formulate, and [sold it](https://www.relexsolutions.com/news/relex-solutions-acquires-formulate-to-advance-promotional-planning-solutions/) to RELEX Solutions in 2022.

During their years of building technology for retail and CPG, Andreas Willgert and Robin Bartholdson kept seeing that commercial data and commitments often were spread across disconnected systems and channels, with too much manual work required to keep everything aligned. With Cofactor, they aim to fix this, while also ensuring adaptability to CPG businesses' individual modes of operations.
