# Healthtech API platform Leyr raises €635,000 in pre-seed funding

[Leyr](https://leyr.io/), a Stockholm-based API platform for healthtech startups, has raised €635,000 ($670,000) in a pre-seed round of funding. This was first reported [in an article](https://www.dn.se/ekonomi/techkapitalist-kanner-oro-efter-sds-utspel-kan-tappa-talang/) published by Dagens Nyheter, but there was no mention of the investor. I asked Leyr CEO and co-founder Helena Holma and she confirmed that the majority of the funding was raised from Nordic & Baltic early-stage VC [Icebreaker.vc](https://www.icebreaker.vc/).

Leyr offers a unified API platform that enables healthtech startups to connect to multiple Electronic Medical Records in one go. The company was founded this year by Holma, who is trained and worked as MD before starting her entrepreneurial career, and her technical co-founder and CTO Anton Lytvynovskyi. Both met through [Antler](http://www.antler.co). The startup generator was the first investor in the company and also participated in this round.
