[Solace Care](https://solace.care/), a Stockholm-based platform for legacy planning and guided loss, [today](https://www.linkedin.com/posts/valtteri-korkiakoski%5Fwhen-josef-and-i-decided-to-start-a-venture-activity-7497887090659991552-i-pZ) announced a €2.1M pre-seed funding round, for the continued Nordic and European expansion.

The company's platform is helping people who face the loss of a loved one, to prepare, navigate the practical and emotional aftermath of a death, and access guided support through insurance and employer partnerships across the Nordic countries.

The funding round was led by Spintop Ventures, and saw participation from Plug and Play, Wave Ventures, a group of senior Nordic insurance leaders (Caroline Farberger, Fredrik Solberg, Emil Lagerstedt-Karlsson, Stefan Moritz and Tomi Yli-Kyyny), as well as angel investors Karaoke Club, Further Than Capital, Mattias Miksche and Krim Talia.

Some of these investors also participated in Solace Care's initial SEK3M funding round [raised last year](https://www.swedishtechnews.com/swedish-tech-news-pro-may-26-2025/#funding-news).

Solace Care was founded by Valtteri Korkiakoski and Josef Karakoca, who before that worked in operator roles at Swedish online therapy provider Mindler.

While the official founding year is cited as 2025, subscribers of Swedish Tech News PRO learned about the startup already in December 2024.
