Klang raises SEK15M in new funding to help European businesses and institutions make conversations searchable and usable

Klang, a Helsingborg-based startup offering AI notetaking and search for "conversations that matter", has announced its largest funding round to date, amounting to SEK15M.
The capital was raised from existing investors and shareholders, including Johan Lenander – who leads the round – Emil Sjödin, and Daniel Gadd, among others. The startup cites a valuation of SEK150M, and an ARR of SEK20M.
This financing comes at a busy time for the four-year old startup, which recently announced its expansion into Japan – the first market outside of Europe.
Last week, Klang released an open dataset and benchmark for Swedish speech recognition, based on 1,804 recordings crowdsourced from across Sweden. And yesterday, in conjunction with the new investment, the company published Pianissimo, an open-weight speech recognition model for Swedish, claimed to cut "the error rate of comparable models by 75% and transcribes at 2,500× realtime".
Klang describes these moves as steps towards its vision of a "platform that works as a complete, searchable memory of the conversations of companies and organisations, where AI understands not only what was said, but also context, nuance, dialects and how different conversations connect".
Klang was founded in 2022 by Niklas Silfverström, Andreas Argelius, Mattias Fält, Viktor Silfverström, and Jacob Andersson, and has previously raised around SEK16M in several smaller rounds.
