Mergers & acquisitions

  • Allurity (Stockholm, group of cybersecurity service providers) acquired Spanish IT security company Aiuken. Financials were not disclosed (English).

News from Swedish startups, the tech sector and VCs

  • ZeroPoint, a spin-off from Gothenburg's Chalmers University of Technology developing technology for increased performance per watt for servers and embedded products, says that its software solution can cut data centers' electricity use by 25% (Swedish, machine translation).
  • 8 Swedish startups will pitch their ideas in the Startup 4 Climate final on October 13: NitroCapt, Cetasol, ZIGRID, Elonroad, Helios Innovations, Sally R, Rebase Energy and Tentania. 2 winners will share a prize of SEK2M (English).
  • Tradera, the Swedish online market place founded in 1999 which is now independent again after have been under eBay ownership for 15 years, just launched in Denmark (Swedish / DI Digital paywall).
  • Kognic is the new name of Gothenburg-based startup Annotell, which provides a software tailored to measure and improve perception performance for autonomous mobility (English).

  • German VC firm Point Nine has raised a €180M seed fund to invest in European B2B startups (English).
  • Downturn career decisions in tech (English).
  • The VC industry has record levels of dry powder after a summer slowdown in deal pace (English).
