Privacy Policy

The privacy policy below applies to the newsletters and plans offered by Swedish Tech News, including the free Swedish Tech Weekly newsletter.

  1. Swedish Tech News is hosted by the Ghost Foundation (Ghost.io). Ghost might track basic personal data when you visit this website, such as browser information, your IP address or other aggregated technical information, in order to run its services. Ghost Foundation’s servers are located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. You can read Ghost's privacy policy.
  2. Swedish Tech News does not use any trackers or cookies of any type. The exception is strictly necessary cookie usage; such as for when visitors decide to purchase a subscription, used for member authentication to maintain a logged-in session.
  3. Swedish Tech News is tracking basic activity data from logged-in subscribers, such as when they last logged in, as well as when/if they opened an email newsletter. For PRO and PRO Team plans, email newsletter clicks are not being tracked. For the free Swedish Tech Weekly plan, clicks in the email newsletter may be tracked, to be able to provide sponsors with aggregated activity data.
  4. If a visitor becomes a subscriber, their email address and name is saved and stored. This data is solely being used for the purpose of providing and improving the requested service, such as sending newsletter emails. No personal information is exchanged with any third party, with two exceptions that apply to the PRO and PRO Team plan:
    1. Payment data that is safely being processed by and stored in an encrypted manner at Stripe.com. You can read Stripe's privacy policy.
    2. The database located at data.swedishtechnews.com is hosted by German third-party service Softr. A PRO/PRO Team subscriber's email address will be submitted to Softr's servers, to create an account and enable the subscriber to access the database. You can read Softr's privacy policy here. If a subscriber does not want their email address to be stored on Softr's server, they can send an email with the subject line "Softr opt-out" to data@swedishtechnews.com.
  5. Pages on this website might contain embedded content from third parties (for example, YouTube videos, or podcasts from Apple or Spotify). This website does not share any user data with those parties. You should refer to those sites for their privacy policies.
  6. If a user that is not covered by any PRO plan unsubscribes from the free Swedish Tech Weekly newsletter, their user account on swedishtechnews.com is being deleted within 7 days.
