Bardo, a Stockholm-based carbon intelligence platform founded earlier this year, has today emerged from stealth mode, and announced a €3 million investment from Cherry Ventures.

Previously, Bardo had already raised SEK 20 million (around €1.7 million) in equity funding from Stegra and angel investors, according to data registered with the Swedish Companies Registration Office (sourced via Eivora).

Bardo was conceptually conceived within Stegra (formerly named H2 Green Steel), the developer of a fossil-free steel plant being built in northern Sweden, and then founded as its own company by Carl-Johan Westring, Oskar Klingberg, Ingemar Rask, and Erik Sandström.

Bardo's platform aims to "unlock a fundamentally new level of accuracy and understanding that will transform how companies manage their carbon footprint".
