Swedish startup funding almost doubled in August year-over-year, thanks to Lovable's $400M Series C round

This news was covered in yesterday's PRO newsletter.

In August, I tracked SEK5.3B (€480M, $550M) in equity funding (and a few convertible notes) raised by Swedish tech startups and scaleups. The figure includes announced rounds, as well as selected unannounced ones.

Last month's number compares to SEK2.8B tracked in August last year, and SEK1.4B in August 2024.

The heavy lifting this time was done by Lovable's $400M Series C round of course.

Here is a chart showing the past two years.
