Stockholm-based startup Simulair has unveiled its machine for fighting bed bugs. The company writes the device "mimics human presence to fool bed bugs, drawing them in from across the room during the entire treatment process". It is said to run an "AI enhanced computer vision system", which "identifies any captured bed bugs", to alert the user about them.

Simulair's website has some more details. The company was founded in 2022 by Maja Åstrand and Simon Lilja, students at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and was part of the KTH pre-incubator batch 17. Maja Åstrand has a Master in Systems, Control, and Robotics, and Simon Lilja has a Master in Aerospace Engineering.

Simulair has not raised any known funding yet.
