TERASi raises €11M seed funding round from NATO and others, to deliver unjammable and undetectable communications for Europe’s defence and resilience

TERASi, a six-year-old Stockholm-based startup specialised in wireless systems for unjammable and undetectable communication, today announced a €11M seed funding round, co-led by NATO Innovation Fund and Germany-headquartered VC firm Join Capital.
Additional backers include new investors In-Q-Tel and D3, and existing ones such as Navigare Ventures, Almi Invest, Sting, Onsight Ventures, Further Than Capital, and KTH Ventures.
The Swedish deeptech company was founded by James Campion, Adrian Gomez, and Bernhard Beuerle, and describes itself as "the only European end-to-end producer of millimetre-wave hardware for tactical communications".
"By tapping into the millimetre-wave domain, TERASi has unlocked a new frequency range, using highly focused signals", the company writes, touting "pocket-sized devices that are compatible with any tactical platform and easily deployable in minutes on tripods or drones at a fraction of the cost and time of alternative solutions".
With the new funding, TERASi plans to scale its current range of connectivity solutions, grow its engineering and field team, and develop new mm-wave based products.
This seed funding follows a SEK13M pre-seed round raised in 2023.
