Digital weight-loss startup Yazen raises €50M in its largest funding round to date

Yazen, the Lund-based digital healthcare provider helping people lose weight, has announced its largest funding round to date, amounting to €50M led by Verdane. Existing investor Evli Growth Partners also participates.

The company plans to use the new financing to continue expanding and scaling up across Europe. It's currently active in eight markets.

Yazen combines weight-loss medication with continuous digital care from a multidisciplinary team. The company cites "over 50,000 patients" and "over 70,000 patients helped in total", who lost "more han 880 tonnes".

Yazen was founded in 2021 by Fredrik Meurling, Magnus Nyhlén, and Martin Carlsson. A few months ago, Nyhlén told Rapidus that Yazen planned to raise a €30M Series B funding round. The now announced financing turned out larger, and is not explicitly described as Series B, it appears.

In late 2024, Yazen announced a €19.5M Series A funding round. In early 2026, the company secured a €6.5M credit facility from HSBC Innovation Banking.

Among previous investors are Luminar Ventures, Aggregate Media, Fåhraeus Startup and Growth, Helsana HealthInvest, Almaz Capital, and Yabeo

Yazen has not published its annual report for 2025 yet, but shared earlier this year that revenue in 2025 almost doubled to €29.4M, with a year-end ARR of SEK372M.
