Juritas raises €1.4M in pre-seed funding to help businesses tackle the hidden costs of overlooked contracts

Juritas, a Stockholm-based startup founded earlier this year, today announced a €1.4M pre-seed funding round led by UK-based early-stage firm Passion Capital. BlackWood, Araya Ventures, Baseline, Angel Invest and the byFounders Angel Collective also participated in the funding.

Juritas, which emerged from stealth mode in June, offers what founder and CEO
Michelle Cotter calls "contract intelligence": The company's platform aims to help businesses find and act on the value in their contracts after signature, "from unclaimed discounts and supplier commitments to renewals and obligation".

Teams using Juritas can ask a plain question, such as whether a supplier’s volume discount has been triggered, and get an answer that cites the exact clause and shows what action is needed. The platform shows teams what they are owed, what they need to deliver, and where to act before the deadline passes.

The young Swedish company initially focuses on supplier contracts, and will expand from there.

Founder Michelle Cotter, who originally is from Ireland, previously held leadership roles at Revolut, Epidemic Sound, and most recently as Global Head of Sales Operations at Swedish legaltech unicorn Legora.

With Juritas, Cottler wants to solve an issue she has kept seeing throughout her career: "Contracts are the operating system of every business, yet almost no company knows what’s really in theirs. It’s one of the largest blind spots in enterprise software".

Juritas will use the fresh funds to grow the engineering team in Stockholm, speed up product development, and build the enterprise-grade security and infrastructure large customers need.

I covered Juritas first in Swedish Tech News PRO on May 29, 2026.
