  • Epishine (Linköping, developer of organic solar cell technology for low power electronics, founded 2016): SEK38M (€3.3M, $3.5M) grant from the EU for a consortium led by Epishine, which "aims to demonstrate the potential of Organic Photovoltaic (OPV) technology to meet the diverse energy needs of markets such as Retail, Property Tech, and Consumer Electronics" (English). During summer 2023, Epishine raised a SEK60M equity funding round led by Jula Holding.
  • Humy (Stockholm, specialized AI teaching assistants, founded 2021): SEK1.5M (€130K, $140K) convertible note from Osito Ventures, Visionary.vc, and angel investors in the US and Sweden, co-founder and CTO Stas Shakirov tells me. The note has a valuation cap of SEK50M. "The funds will fuel the expansion of our user base in the US and further development of our product", Shakirov says. In fall, Humy plans to close its seed round. The company was founded as FACING IT and has gone through different product iterations, before landing in its exclusive focus on teachers. In fall 2023, Humy raised SEK1.3M from various Swedish angels.
