Swedish fintech Cheque aims to bring flexible invoice payment terms to the US

Cheque, a new Stockholm-based fintech startup, has emerged from stealth mode.

The company is developing an invoicing solution tailored to SMEs and freelancers. The service "allows suppliers to set flexible payment terms and offer early payment discounts, optimizing cash flow without relying on third-party credit solutions like factoring".

Despite being based in Sweden, Cheque will initially target the US market.

Cheque was founded by Julia Delin and Andreas Johansson, who until recently were CEOs of the Stockholm School of Economics' VC firm (SSE Ventures) and incubator (SSE Business Lab), respectively.

The duo first announced their decision to build Cheque in July 2024.

Cheque has not announced any funding so far.
