Datia (Stockholm, solutions for sustainable finance) is being acquired by UK-based industry peer Connect Earth (English).

digiPlant (Örebro, Saas provider of the leading application management system SBS Manager) has been acquired by Publix, a newly formed serial acquirer of independent SaaS companies that improve public services (English, Swedish / Breakit paywall).

Netigate (Stockholm, SaaS feedback solution for brands) acquires the Netherlands-based industry peer Mopinion (English).

Cetasol (Gothenburg, AI-driven decision support for the maritime industry): €2.3M ($2.7M) in a seed extension round, co-led by BackingMinds and Shift4Good (English). ℹ️ Company details

Ascilion (Stockholm, solution for sampling of dermal interstitial fluid): SEK21M (€1.9M, $2.2M) from Lotus One Investment, which also acquires an unspecified amount of existing shares (English).

Hedda (Stockholm, AI powered bid-writing tool): €1.5M in a pre-seed funding round led by Zenith VC, with participation from Antler, Wave Ventures, and angel investors (English). ➡️ Funding first covered in PRO on August 25. ℹ️ Company details added on January 24 to the New Startup Database for PRO subscribers.

Redpine (Stockholm; platform that connects AI builders and agents to proprietary, licensed multimodal data): $1.3M in an angel round. Mylla (Malmö, online marketplace and SaaS solution to connect local farmers and end consumers): SEK9M (€810K, $960) through equity crowdfunding (Swedish, machine translation).

Eldra, based in Stockholm, has emerged from stealth mode and launched its AI assistant for elderly care ℹ️ Company details added on June 12 to the New Startup Database for PRO subscribers.

SYMBI, also based in Stockholm, launched its off-market housing platform, aiming to connect brokers, buyers and sellers to open "the door to homes before they reach the open market". ℹ️ Company details added in November 2024 to the New Startup Database for PRO subscribers.

Zettascale, San Francisco-based startup formerly named Exa Labs and co-founded by the Swede Elias Almqvist, shared that the company raised a seed round of "a good couple of million dollars". OptiSense Care, a new Helsingborg-based startup, is about to launch a pre-pilot of its AI-driven "ZenSeat" toilet seat for monitoring a patient's toileting routines. (Swedish / Rapidus paywall). ℹ️ Company details added on May 6 to the New Startup Database for PRO subscribes.

Hemla, Stockholm-based intelligent home security startup, signed a 5-year contract with Securitas (Swedish, machine translation). ℹ️ Company details

Ella, Stockholm-based startup offering a digital healthcare app for women during and after pregnancy, has paused operations due to liquidity issues, partly caused by a last-minute withdrawal from an international investor (Swedish, machine translation).

Charma, a Linköping-based gift card provider for organizations, has launched Swippy, an app for individuals to send gifts to others, "akin to sending money via Swish".

Einride delivered goods from Sweden to Norway on behalf of PostNord – fully autonomously. This "marks the first cabless electric autonomous border-crossing in the world", the Stockholm-based scaleup writes (English).

• A former employee of VC-backed Stockholm-based D2C skincare brand Mantle is suspected of having embezzled SEK11.5M for their own gain (Swedish, machine translation).

Meds, Sweden's second largest online pharmacy, went public (English).

• Lovable will host "SheBuilds", a virtual 48-Hour "buildathon empowering women in tech", on October 6-7 (English).

• Founders from Project Europe and Founders House will host a gathering in Stockholm on October 10 specifically aimed at technical talents who consider becoming founding engineers (English).

Karaoke Club is a new angel network and startup community founded by Melinda Elmborg and Nino Subotic, who previously managed Fast Track Malmö, and arrange the annual Mashup conference (English, Swedish / Breakit paywall).

• Apropos Mashup: The 2026 edition will take place in Malmö on April 15-16 (English). ➡️ Added to the Swedish tech event calendar

• Paris-based VC firm Ventech, which since 2023 has an office in Stockholm, announced the final close of its sixth flagship fund at €175M, to support tech startups in their Seed and Series A stage all the way to exit (English).

byFounders, the Nordic early-stage VC which nowadays is highly active on the Swedish market, unveiled the byFounders Angel Collective (English).

Pale blue dot, Malmö-headquartered early-stage VC, is looking for a full-time Financial Controller (English).

• Techarena launched the ticket sale for the 2026 flagship event, including a 60% discount available only until tomorrow (English).

• 🎧 ZERO2ONE: Stories from Silicon Valhalla is a new podcast featuring "unfiltered stories of going from zero to one, told by some of the most successful and iconic New Nordic founders" (English).
