• Lavendla, the Swedish digital provider of funeral services, has spun off a startup offering an AI assistant for healthcare professionals named Nila Health (Swedish / Breakit paywall).
• Rebaba, Stockholm-based developer of circular battery systems, has become a selected supplier of battery energy storage systems for OKQ8, one of Sweden's major fuel companies (English).
• The parent company of X Shore has filed for bankruptcy, three months after the Swedish electric boat maker's factory did so (English, Swedish / Di Digital paywall).
• Musselfeed, a foodtech company from western Sweden specialized in transforming blue mussels into sustainable products, is "looking for a safe and long term home for the platform" (English).
• Gilion, Stockholm-based alternative lending provider and growth platform for startups, now offers an agentic platform to investors and banks. Following significant cost cutting, last year, Gilion expects to reach profitability this year (English, Swedish / Di Digital paywall).
• Finance Lab, Stockholm-based platform that monitors and collects data about new share issues in listed companies in the Nordics, has launched Providers.se, a catalog of the tools, services and experts that serve the stock market in Sweden (Swedish, machine translation). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO in October 2024.
• SonicFlora, Linköping-based startup offering real-time plant health monitoring through ultrasonic sound capture, will pitch at the annual SXSW conference in Austin in March, as the only company from Sweden (English).
• 📺 A flying car from Jetson, Stockholm- & Palo Alto-based eVTOL developer, was featured for a few minutes in a video from YouTube star Mr Beast (English).
• Stark, Germany-based defense tech company backed by Peter Thiel, is opening a Stockholm office (Swedish, machine translation).

• Melinda Elmborg and Nino Subotic, the founders of Karaoke Club, published a manifesto outlining how their new startup community and angel network operates, and which founders are a fit (English).
