• Frontdesk (Gothenburg, telecommunications solutions platform for businesses) is being acquired by Malmö-based competitor Telavox (Swedish, machine translation). ➡️ Added to the Exits Database for PRO subscribers.
• Insurello (Stockholm, digital solution that simplifies and democratizes the process of claiming insurance compensation) is being acquired by Söderberg & Partners, provider of financial advisory services (Swedish / Breakit paywall). ➡️ Added to the Exits Database for PRO subscribers.
• Generation Waste (Gothenburg, solution that help restaurants and municipal kitchens reduce food waste) acquires Uppsala-based company Awareify, which is specialized in energy consumption-focused behavioral coaching and impact management in commercial kitchens, restaurants and hotels (Swedish / PDF).
• MATCHi (Gothenburg, booking platform for racket sports) is merging with its Austria-based competitor Eversports, to "create Europe's leading software and booking platform for sports and wellness" (English, Swedish, machine translation).
• Kustom (Stockholm, checkout solution for online retailers) is acquiring the merchant contracts of Norway-based Vipps MobilePay Checkout for up to NOK490M (€44M, $50.5M) (English). More on Kustom in the funding section.
• [PRO last week] A healthtech startup whose product is said to be used by almost half of active doctors in Sweden, was acquired by a Swedish media company.

• Nordic Knots (Stockholm, design-led e-commerce brand specialising in rugs and home textiles): $100M led by Imaginary Ventures (funding details page)
• PaperShell (Tibro; developing fossil-free composite material designed to replace aluminium, plastics and glass fibre at industrial scale): up to €40.3M ($46.5M) in grant funding from the EU Innovation Fund (English).
• Kustom (Stockholm, checkout solution for online retailers, founded 2024): SEK367M (€34M, $39.5M) from Resurs Bank, for the European expansion (funding details page).
• Renasens (Stockholm, waterless technology reinventing how textiles are recycled): €10M ($11.5M) in a seed funding round led by Extantia (funding details page). In conjunction with this, Forbes published a profile of the company and interview with French Algerian founder Jade Bouledjouidja, who came to Sweden in 2020 (English). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO in June 2024.
• Antrino Labs, formerly Preventai (Stockholm; video language model and AI platform that makes every camera intelligent): SEK40M (€3.7M, $4.3M) from Pomonagruppen (Swedish / Di Digital paywall, funding details page). Startup first covered in PRO in June 2025.
• Swegreen (Stockholm, in-store and vertical farming company): SEK20M (€1.85M, $2.1M) led by existing investor Bo-Wilhelm Horndahl, who thereby becomes majority owner (funding details page).
• Volta Greentech (Gothenburg, developer of feed supplement for cows to reduce methane emissions): SEK18M (€1.7M, $2M) led by existing investor Novax (Axel Johnson) (funding details page).
• Galdera Labs (Stockholm; financial modeling built for reasoning, not just reporting): €1.5M pre-seed funding led by J12. With the announcement, the startup emerged from stealth mode (funding details page). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO on October 16, funding first covered in PRO on November 11.
• Newly, formerly Natively (Stockholm, AI agent for designing and deploying fully functioning iOS and Android apps in minutes): $1.5M led by existing investor PSV Tech (funding details page).
• Emfas (Stockholm, AI-native PIM for modern e-commerce): €1.1M ($1.3M) from node.vc and daphni (funding details page). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO in July 2024.
• Twelve Football (Stockholm, AI for deep football analysis): SEK6.6 (€610K, $700K) mostly from the Geoguessr founders Daniel Antell and Mikael Falgard (Swedish / Breakit paywall, funding details page). ➡️ Funding amount first covered in PRO on February 13.
• Re:Play (Växjö, learning materials for children made from residual materials): SEK1.5M (€1.4M, $1.6M) from existing investor Kick Capital, and angel investor Emil Gren, for the Nordic expansion (funding details page). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO in October 2023.
• [PRO last week] An autonomous drone technology startup raised its largest funding to date, yet-to-be-announced.
• [PRO last week] A robotics startups founded by repeat entrepreneurs has raised funding from Nordic VC firms.
• [PRO last week] A startup that protects airspace from drone activity, raised first, so far unannounced funding at a pre-money valuation of SEK50M.

• 13 Swedish startups were selected for the the latest cohort of the Sting Core flagship program (English).
• BuilderBase, a new startup from Stockholm, has launched its platform for "running world-class hackathons effortlessly at scale" (English). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO on November 27.
• Airspot, another new startup from Stockholm and a SSE Business lab alumnus, has launched a self-serve platform for TV ads. ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO on September 10.
• Atonemo, based in Stockholm, says that its "Streamplayer" device – which promises to turn any speaker into a smart, wireless system – is now available through several of the largest retailers in Sweden (English).
• 9 Swedish startups are included in Notion Capital's Top 100 Cloud Challengers 2026 ranking: AI-BOB, Bluebook, Endra, Engrate, Hedda, Lightbringer, Talentium, Vetnio, and Vantel (English / PDF).
• Modular Finance, Stockholm-based provider of fintech solutions for banks, institutions and Nordic listed companies, has crossed the mark of SEK300M in ARR, 18 months after it reached the SEK200M milestone (English).
• Lovable is open for acquiring teams and startups (English).
• Legora is together with law schools developing a curriculum focused on applying AI to legal tasks (English).
• Klarna is launching a new $100K award for achieved results in climate, open to any mission-driven organisation working on climate solutions, anywhere in the world (English).
• Team Scaleup, founded by the Stella Futura founders Ulrika Tornerefelt and Jonas Jonsson, together with Siavash Habibi, is a newly launched AI-flavored consultancy, that offers assessment, execution, growth capital, and investor matching to European scaleups (English, Swedish). ➡️ First covered in PRO on February 11.
• The Fungi VC, a new Norwegian-Swedish investment syndicate run by Susanne Gløersen and Tarja Zudemberg, is investing in fungal startups worldwide (Swedish / Impact Loop paywall).
• Petter Hattenbach is stepping into the role of General Partner at Gorilla Capital, focusing on the Swedish and Danish market (English).
• GU Ventures, the VC firm of Gothenburg University, is looking for a business developer with focus on deeptech (Swedish, machine translation).
• [PRO last week] Two senior leaders, among them one with decades of CIO experience, have launched a platform promising to transform months of manual compliance work into hours - "with deterministic AI reasoning".
• [PRO last week] A startup at the intersection of climate tech, agtech and insurtech, has quietly emerged from stealth mode.
• [PRO last week] Multipe former startup founders are quietly building again: a platform for learning languages through series and YouTube clips, a voice-based tool for employee surveys, and an operating system for property deals.
• [PRO last week] VC-backed startups that went bankrupt or shut down: a solution for safe peer-to-peer transactions, a platform for developers of hydrogen projects, a mobile-first platform for no-code game and AR creation, and a company focused on better touchscreen hygiene.
