• Normative (Stockholm, carbon accounting platform) is being acquired by France-based industry peer Greenly, reportedly for €64M (English, Swedish / Impact Loop paywall). ➡️ Added to the Exits Database for PRO subscribers.

• Tavion (Stockholm; operates, owns and develops battery parks across Europe): €34M ($40M) in an equity funding round led by Leitmotif and Oberon Capital. Tavion also secured €16M in debt financing (English).
• Rebaba (Stockholm; circular battery energy storage systems for EV charging infrastructure, residential and commercial buildings, and industry): $4.6M in a seed funding round led by Sistafund (English). ➡️ Part of this funding first covered in PRO on August 31.
• Fluencify (Stockholm, end-to-end creator marketing platform): $4.3M in a pre-seed round led by byFounders (English). ➡️ Part of this round first covered in PRO in June. ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO in October 2025.
• Soundtrap (Stockholm, music-creation tool): SEK40M (€3.6M, $4.2M) in a funding round led by Industrifonden (Swedish / Breakit paywall).
• Smartports (Örebro; transforms parking lots into revenue-generating energy hubs by combining solar power, EV charging, and battery storage): SEK25M (€2.2M, $2.6M) grant from the Klimatklivet program, to establish 49 local energy hub projects across Sweden (Swedish, machine translation). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO in February 2025.
• Hybridity (Stockholm; AI-native compliance platform): SEK20M (€1.8M, $2.1M) from new investor Svea Bank (English).
• Iris (Gothenburg, platform to create custom personal AI companions): SEK16M (€1.4M, $1.7M) from angel investors (Swedish, machine translation).
• Synclair Vision (Linköping, advanced drone-based camera systems for aerial surveillance): SEK5M (€440K, $520K) in first funding from East Sweden Capital and Almi Invest (Swedish, machine translation).
• Halmos Labs (Lund, builds automated biotech R&D on the principles of validity and interpretability): $500K from Y Combinator, as the startup joins the fall 2026 batch (English).
• Romitek (Lycksele, coil trimming technology): undisclosed amount in first funding from S-E-Bankens Utvecklingsstiftelse, Partnerinvest Norr, Northern Light Capital, and private/angel investors (Swedish, machine translation). ➡️ Funding first covered in PRO on August 28.
• [PRO last week] A startup building AI architecture raised yet-to-be-announced funding at a quadrupled valuation from the seed round.
• [PRO last week] A labtech startup raised a first, yet-to-be-announced funding round; an eight-digit SEK amount from at least one Swedish and one Danish VC firm.

• NordAmps, Lund-based company that designs, manufactures, and sells high-performance circuits, is going public at Nasdaq First North Growth Market (English).
• Quartr, the Stockholm-based provider of AI infrastructure for company research, announced a partnership with OpenAI as a data partner for ChatGPT for Financial Services (English).
• Stackholm is a new platform built by Stockholm-based developer Alexandre Du Lorier, which aims to list every open tech job in Stockholm, each one next to what the company filed with the registry, such as accounts and headcount trend (English).
• Allica Bank, a UK-based business banking startup, has applied for a Swedish banking licence, to expand into other European markets from Sweden (English).
• Fixrate, a Norwegian liquidity marketplace for businesses, is launching in Sweden, and opens an office in Malmö (Swedish / Rapidus paywall).
• Also expanding into Sweden: Repodo, a Denmark-based startup founded by the founders of digital bank Lunar, which describes itself as "the world's first AI-native authorised audit firm" (English).
• During Q1 2026, there were 7900 job vacancies in the Sweden's tech industry, 40 percent fewer than a year earlier. Still, the sector is showing signs of recovery, according to "Techtemperatur", a new indicator published by TechSverige (English).
• Last week Nordic Tech Week took place in Stockholm. In an interview, founder Ludvig Bergström says that this year's event week secured around SEK3M in revenue from partners, and is profitable (Swedish, machine translation).
• GoWest, the western Swedish tech conference aimed at VCs, startups, and deeptech leaders, his hiring a Chief Operating Officer (English).
• Andreas Grape, founder and CEO of Nordic Angels, found apt, balanced words describing the fragility of a vibrant startup ecosystem, emphasising the common achievement built by many over two decades (Swedish).
• Seed Capital, headquartered in Denmark, has closed its fifth fund at €130M, and will actively focus on investments in Sweden for the first time English).
• Luminar Ventures from Stockholm reached the top spot in a Sifted ranking featuring the investors & lenders backing the Nordic's fastest-growing startups (English).
• Flat Capital is looking for a new CEO, as Rickard El Tarzi will step down at the end of the year, after less than a year at the helm (English).
• Industrifonden as recruited Samira Aissi as new Investor, focused on planetary health, deeptech, and growth (English).
• [PRO last week] Lots of interesting new Swedish startups added to the Startup Database last week, including one focused on electronic chip design automation, one improving robotics on hostile planetary surfaces, and one aiming to revive extinct species.
• [PRO last week] A startup in stealth mode, founded by alumni from Einride and McKinsey, is building agentic AI for grid planning.
• [PRO last week] A founder who previously was part of four-early stage startups which all were acquired by major IT companies, has launched a vendor-agnostic security management platform for various types of commercial premises.
• [PRO last week] Two software engineers that previously worked at an airline, have founded a startup to develop fiber-optic spools for drones and UAVs.

• Luca Banderet, Swiss-Swedish entrepreneur and early-stage investor, published version 5.0 of his seed pitch deck guide – updated for the age of AI (English).
• Only 4% of the startups in Y Combinator's 2026 spring batch had a native mobile app as their main product, down from 15% in 2013 (English / Bloomberg paywall).
• "Agentic flooding": As AI makes it easier to fill forms and file complaints, public services around the world are seeing enormous jumps in applications and other requests (English).
• Spotify co-founder Martin Lorentzon says he would leave Sweden immediately if the country introduces a wealth tax (English, Swedish / Di paywall).
• Sweden, the Nordic countries, and many other countries are at record low results in reading comprehension and mathematics, according to the latest global Pisa study (Swedish, machine translation).
• Also, Sweden is facing a math teacher shortage (English).
• The pilot project with a self-driving bus in central Gothenburg is being ended, following an accident with a tram a few months ago. "The traffic in central Gothenburg is too complex for the technology in its current form" (Swedish, machine translation).
