• Endra (Stockholm; AI-powered MEP platform) acquired Swiss AI research company Planlabs, to support its expansion into mechanical engineering (English).

• Lovable (Stockholm, AI web app builder) has acquired the San Francisco-based startup Sutro, which offered a toolkit for building full-stack apps with LLMs. Sutro's founder and three engineers are joining the Lovable team (English). In conjunction with this, Lovable plans to open an official office in San Francisco (English).

• Tandem Health (Stockholm, AI medical assistant): $100M in a Series B funding round led by new investor Scaleup Europe Fund (English).

• GOALS (Stockholm, online multiplayer football game): $8.6M in a recently closed new funding round from undisclosed investors, according to a note in the just published annual report (English / STN PRO).

• AMRA Medical (Linköping, MRI body composition analytics that provide clinicians and scientists with insights that are not captured with traditional anthropometric measures): undisclosed amount from HealthCap (English).

• Freya (Stockholm, intelligent security solutions for the physical domain): SEK6M (€530K, $620K) in a first external funding round from Foundry ventures, Propel Capital, and others (English). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO in March 2025.

• Ordo Labs (Stockholm, AI workspace for regulated science): $500K from Y Combinator, as the startup joins the accelerator's fall batch (English). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO on January 21.

• CubaseBio (Stockholm; solution that enables true 3D spatial analysis at scale, unlocking biological insights and accelerating drug discovery): €1M ($1.2M) grant from the Eurostars program, together with Austrian startup HeartBeat.bio (English).

• Mai (Stockholm, platform through which anyone can buy and sell second-hand items effortlessly): SEK2.5M in a media-for-equity investment from Aggregate Media (English / STN PRO).

• Aday (Kalmar, shared digital workspace for recruiters and clients): SEK2.5M (€220K, $250K) in a first seven-digit SEK funding round from Almi Invest, Annexstruktur, existing investor Kick Capital, and angel investors (Swedish, machine translation). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO in March 2025.

• [PRO last week] An AI-native operator for payroll, finance and people operations founded by a repeat founder, raised €500K in a first funding round.

• Dibbla, a Stockholm-based startup founded last year, has exited stealth, and launched its platform for deploying, sharing and managing applications built with code assistants, aimed at teams (English). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO in September 2025.

• Agteria Biotech has rebranded to Root Bio, and is broadening its scope: The VC-backed Stockholm-based startup now describes itself as AI discovery company designing novel molecules and proteins that solve the world's biggest biological problems – starting with food production (English).

• Serverpod, based in Stockholm, has launched App Studio – a downloadable development environment for building full-stack applications with AI coding agents, letting developers change agents without changing their stack (English).

• Patient Safety Surveillance Solutions (P3S), based in Stockholm, has developed a digital and automated system for surveillance of healthcare-associated infections. The solution is now being implemented in large-scale clinical operation at Karolinska University Hospital (Swedish, machine translation).

• PulPac, the Gothenburg-based developer of technology for low-cost, high-performance fiber packaging that replaces single-use plastics, is entering a corporate restructuring process, and may lay off up to 50 of its 70 employees (Swedish / Industrial Loop paywall, Swedish #2, machine translation).

• Metamorfish (formerly Nano Textile Solutions), Linköping-based developer of a nanotechnology solution that allows a single textile product to become multi-sized, is bankrupt (English / STN PRO).

• Klang, Helsingborg-based startup offering solutions for AI notetaking for high-stakes work, has released Klang Dialects – an open dataset and benchmark for Swedish speech recognition (English).

• Exporting energy from Sweden to Europe is a waste of resources, given that intelligence tokens are much more valuable, argues Airon co-founder and CEO Robert Lidberg (Swedish / Industrial Loop paywall).

• Trustly, Stockholm-based payments platform for digital account-to-account transactions, is cutting around 200 jobs, repsenting around 25% of the total workforce. In Sweden, 30 positions are affected (English, Swedish).

• Neko Health, Swedish preventive healthcare provider, published a report with real-world findings from over 80,000 members in the UK and Sweden during 2025–2026 (English).

• Einride has together with German discount grocery chain Lidl launched the first autonomous cab-less truck on a German public road, shuttling about 400 metres between a warehouse and a store (English).

• Kry is giving up on its separate brand Livi, which it operated under in the UK and France. Now the Stockholm-based digital healthcare provider is being named "Kry" even in those countries (English).

• Prisjakt, Swedish price comparison and product information platform founded in 2002, announced plans to sue Google for approximately SEK21.4B at the Patent and Market Court in Stockholm due to antitrust violations (English).

• An interview with foodtech angel investor and expert Daniel Skavén Ruben on Sweden’s untapped foodtech potential and hype cycles (English).

• Stockholm Fintech Week 2027 will take place on March 17-18 (English). ➡️ Added to the Swedish tech event calendar

• Monterro, Swedish B2B software growth investor, is opening its first UK office in London (English).

• 🎧 The Breakit Podcast talks with Breakit co-founder Stefan Lundell about his life after the exit to Bonnier (Swedish, 40 minutes).

• [PRO last week] An angel-backed startup offering a "complete sovereign AI platform in a box", is raising a a first larger funding round. The company cites an ARR of SEK2M with four customers, and pilots with defense units in Sweden and Ukraine.

• [PRO last week] Two Swedish fintech startups founded before the pandemic, were declared bankrupt last week.

• [PRO last week] A VC-backed consumer-focused energy startup grew its annual net revenue by 700% year-over-year to almost SEK100M.
