Mergers & acquisitions

Stella Futura (Stockholm, tailor-made sustainable energy solutions) has been acquired by Swedish energy storage solutions provider Polarium (English).

Nordic PE firm Adelis Equity Partners acquires a majority stake in Bryntum, bootstrapped Stockholm-headquartered provider of an UI component library for project planning and resource management (English).

Tencent, the China-headquartered multinational technology conglomerate, acquired a 15.75% stake in the highly profitable Stockholm-based game studio Arrowhead, reportedly for SEK810M (€74M, $85M) (Swedish / Di Digital paywall).

Footway OaaS (Stockholm, provider of shared e-commerce infrastructure) acquired the bankruptcy estate of previously publicly traded Swedish e-commerce company eCom Team (Swedish, machine translation).

Doktor.se (Stockholm, digital healthcare provider) acquires Norway-based industry peer Maja for an undisclosed amount. Doktor.se also is launching in Finland (Swedish / Di Digital paywall).

Trivec (Stockholm, provider of a POS system for restaurants, bars and hotels) is being acquired by Swedish industry peer Caspeco (Swedish, machine translation).

An open letter outlining how to reignite the Nordic tech wonder, signed by a number of high-profile founders, investors, and other key players in Swedish tech (English, Swedish).

Melvin Hagberg, Swede who got into Y Combinator last year, has unveiled Scape, an upcoming AI-native CRM that captures all of a team's conversations. Transfer Galaxy, Örebro-based remittance service for immigrants, was reportedly in acquisition talks with a major remittance company last year (Swedish / Di Digital paywall).

Pileus, Luleå-based startup that develops technology for forecasting and mitigation of icing events for operators of wind power generation, is expanding internationally (Swedish, machine translation). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO on November 7.

Lovable, the popular Swedish AI web app builder, has allegedly failed to fix a critical security flaw, despite being notified about it months ago, according to a report by an employee at a competitor (English).

Andreas Lee, serial entrepreneur and most recently co-founder of Stockholm-based enterprise search engine software for market research Stravito, has died at the age of 50 after a long illness (English, Swedish).

Martin Jensen, co-founder of Stockholm-based fashion brand commerce platform Centra, is stepping down as CEO, to transition into the CPO role. New CEO will be Sara Laurell (English).

Sana founder Joel Hellermark enjoys public conversations with leading minds in AI and knowledge domains, and now he has a new format to do that: a weekly Sana-branded podcast named "Strange Loop" (English).

Draknästet, the Swedish TV version of Dragon's Den in which entrepreneurs pitch in front of investors, will not come back either in 2025 nor in 2026 (Swedish, machine translation).
