• eComID (Stockholm, shopping passport powering smarter commerce from the very first visit across connected fashion brands): $17M in a seed funding round led by UK-based Systemiq Capital (English).

• Solace Care (Stockholm, platform for legacy planning and guided loss support): €2.1M ($2.45M) in a pre-seed funding round led by Spintop Ventures (English). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO in December 2024.

• Cota Robotics (Stockholm, turn-key solution for deploying robots in stores): €1.92M ($2.2M) in a pre-seed funding round led by byFounders (English). ➡️ First details about this funding covered in PRO in March 2024; startup first covered in PRO in December 2025.

• Cofactor (Stockholm, AI platform for retailer–supplier collaboration that automates commercial work and keeps commitments in sync): €1.3M ($1.5M) in pre-seed funding led by PSV Tech (English).

• Syntrace (Stockholm, solution which captures private conversations taking place within financial institutions and turns them into source-backed knowledge): SEK14M (€1.3M, $1.5M) in a pre-seed funding round from angel/private investors with background in finance (English / STN PRO). ➡️ Startup first named in PRO on August 10.

• Readily (Uppsala, rapid molecular testing for infectious diseases): $970K from the Gates Foundation to develop an affordable test for the world’s most common sexually transmitted infections (English).

• Standard Medicine (Stockholm, evidence-based search for healthcare professionals): SEK5.6M (€500K, $560K) in an angel round. With this, the startup emerges from stealth mode (English / STN PRO, Swedish / Breakit paywall). ➡️ Funding first covered as "unannounced" in PRO on May 6; startup first covered in PRO in October 2025.

• Zenion (Gothenburg, energy platform that lets homes use their electric vehicle as a power source): undisclosed amount in first funding led by Almi Invest (Swedish, machine translation). ➡️ Funding and more details first covered as "unannounced" in PRO on August 12; startup first covered in PRO in July 2025.

New startups added daily, many still completely under the radar.

• Navisalma is a new venture platform launched by the Einride founders Robert Falck and Linnéa Kornehed Falck, to make scaling frontier technology repeatable (English).

• Frost Unmanned, a defense tech startup from the greater Gothenburg area, plans to build a high-performance European jet-powered unmanned aerial system together with the French defence technology company Alta Ares (English). ➡️ PRO subscribers learned more details about the startup.

• Qokedas is a new San Francisco-based AI startup founded by three 19-year old Swedes from Gothenburg, which was just accepted into Y Combinator. The company wants to turn real world measurement information that's not available on the internet, into training data for AI labs (English, Swedish / Breakit paywall).

• Fibbler, a bootstrapped startup from southern Sweden offering a revenue attribution hub for LinkedIn and Google ads, passed $100K in MRR (English). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO in May 2024.

• Philip Andersson, previously co-founder and CEO of now defunct YC-backed startup Bluebook, joined OpenAI's Applied AI Engineering team focusing on startups across the Nordics, as the first person in the AI company's new Stockholm office (English).

• Blykalla submitted its application to the Swedish government for a second commercial advanced nuclear reactor park. This one would be located at Untra in Tierp municipality (Uppsala county) (English).

• Flox, the Stockholm-based startup developing AI enabled technologies for wildlife management, will pitch at the TechCrunch 2026 Startup Battlefield 200 in October in San Francisco (English).

• Two Swedish startups – Deepgrid and Elvy – joined this year's European edition of the Google for Startups Accelerator program (English).

• Lovable bought the .com domain from an Italian lingerie brand (English).

• Mentimeter is paying its shareholders a special dividend of SEK70M (Swedish / Breakit paywall).

• Prisjakt, the Swedish price comparison and product information platform founded in 2002 and majority-owned by eEquity, is getting ready to go public in Stockholm (Swedish / Breakit paywall).

• NestAI, Finland-headquartered European AI lab for defence founded by Silo AI founder Peter Sarlin, is expanding into Sweden, with plans to build a team of more than 50 engineers and scientists (English).

• Ekholmen Group, a new Stockholm-based investment firm majority-owned by Holmströmgruppen, launched with the goal of acquiring profitable small and mid-sized companies across several industries and "give them a permanent home".

• RunwayVC, the Norwegian early-stage venture firm formerly branded as RunwayFBU, has reached a €40M first close for Fund II– with Sweden being one of the target markets (English).

• Synch and Qap Legal, two tech-focused Stockholm-based law firms with a lot of startup/scaleup clients, are becoming one (English).

• Two contrarian long-reads arguing that we might actually be at the end of technology's s-curve (English), and that "the project of software is complete" (English).
