MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS

Nalvin, formerly Version Lens (Stockholm, AI agent for product teams) has been acquired by Lovable, and is shutting down. Nalvin's three founders are joining Lovable (English). ➡️ Added to the Exits Database for PRO subscribers.

Legora (Stockholm, collaborative AI platform for lawyers) is acquiring UK-based startup Wexler. This is the company's fifth acquisition in 2026 (English).

Mitigram (Stockholm, digital platform for global trade financing) acquires the French company behind trade intelligence platform eexpand (English).

Einride, the now publicly traded Stockholm-based provider of digital, electric and autonomous shipping technology, is acquiring US-based EV charging startup Flipturn in an all-stock deal worth $38M (English).

Monterro, Swedish B2B software growth investor, has acquired a majority stake in Finnish banking software company MORS Software (English).

imagi (Stockholm, gives students safe access to real-world AI tools through guided projects and teacher-ready lessons): $4.5M in a seed funding round from Brighteye Ventures, Day One Capital, Feminvest Ventures, artist Will.i.am, and a large number of angel investors (English, ℹ️ database).

Scape (Stockholm, intelligent desktop email client for work): $3.2M in a first funding round from Y Combinator, General Catalyst, FundersClub, and angel investors. With this, the company exits stealth (English, ℹ️ database). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO in May 2024.

• George (Stockholm, stealth startup aiming to save liberal democracy with data and AI): SEK4M (€360K, $410K) in first funding from The Inner Foundation and Mikael Eklund. George was founded by serial entrepreneur Mikael Pawlo (Swedish / Breakit paywall, ℹ️ database).

Tickivo (Stockholm, AI operating system for event organizers): undisclosed amount in a "friends & family round" from Daniel Jontén, Anders Kumlin, and Alexander Åmell. (ℹ️ database). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO on June 4.

Eira AI (Stockholm, AI platform that enables healthcare providers to automate non-clinical tasks): undisclosed amount – probably €200K –  in first funding from Antler (Swedish, ℹ️ database). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO on May 4.

• [PRO last week] A fintech raised over SEK200M in yet-to-be-announced fresh funding, at a pre-money valuation of around SEK1.4B.

• [PRO last week] A startup focused on improving the cooling of data centers, raised first equity funding from a family office.

• [PRO last week] A price comparison tool for beauty, wellness and pharmacy products also secured a first investment.

NEWS FROM THE SWEDISH STARTUP & TECH SECTOR

• In a first in Sweden, a defibrillator was delivered by a drone operated by Everdrone to a real medical emergency. The drone reached a cardiac arrest patient in just three minutes, and the patient survived (EnglishSwedish).

AiMYNDi, based in Stockholm, launched its AI house hunter, intended to help people find and analyze homes. ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO in October 2024.

Andon Labs, the Swedish startup which stress-tests AI agents in the real world, published a new installment on how things are going for its simulated AI vending machine business. Anthropic's Opus 5 model took collusion and other dishonest tactics to a whole new level (English).

• Emil Ahlbäck, one of the earliest employees at Lovable, has announced his departure from the AI web app builder. On what's next, he only writes "more soon" (English).

• Virtune, the Stockholm-based startup which provides regulated crypto investment products through local brokers and banks, grew net revenue by 253% in 2025 to over SEK60M, and turned profitable. ➡️ First covered in PRO on July 28.

CorPower Ocean, the Stockholm-based scaleup that's designing, manufacturing and operating wave energy farms, received a certification that's described as the gold standard within offshore energy (English).

Belong, a New York-based startup building artist-owned membership programs on real financial infrastructure, has officially launched. The company was founded by Swedish Spotify veteran Nick Holmstén, and Swedish serial entrepreneur (and Avicii‘s former manager) Ash Pournouri (English).

Voi posted another quarter of strong financial results, and says it has no concrete plans or set any timeline for an IPO (English).

• Google plans to appeal the Swedish court order announced on July 1 to pay $1.5B in damages to Klarna-owned Pricerunner (EnglishSwedish).

• Spotify has bought a brand-new Bombardier Global 6500 private jet for use by selected senior management executives (Swedishmachine translation).

• [PRO last week] A startup building an AI travel agent for group chats, has emerged from stealth mode. The founders have backgrounds from a large investment firm, McKinsey, and BCG.

• [PRO last week] A repeat founder who sold their previous company, is now developing and commercialising digital and physical games based on an AI-first agentic development model.

• [PRO last week] A Swedish spacetech startup is bankrupt, stating that "in this field only billionaires and governments have the financial capacity required".

• [PRO last week] A fintech startup which since 2024 operated in stealth, has unveiled its upcoming platform, which aims to bring together payments, rewards, and financial overview.

• The second quarter of 2026 saw plugin EVs take 67.0% share of new registrations in Sweden, up from 62.5% in Q2 2025 (English).

• Sweden plans to ban forever chemicals in everyday products ahead of EU (English)

• Sweden wants to boost its mining sector, particularly when it comes to rare earths, and counter European dependence on China (English).

• Sweden’s government has launched its first ever national strategy for psychological defence, which aims to increase coordination between government agencies to make the country more resilient against foreign disinformation and attempts to undermine public trust (Swedishmachine translation).
