• Plock (Stockholm, solution for effortless usage-based billing & subscription management) was acquired by Stockholm-based AI platform for finance and payroll Kleer (formerly PE Accounting) (Swedish, machine translation).

• Pixelgen Technologies (Stockholm, technology that enables high-dimensional analysis of cell surface architecture in single cells): $15.5M in a Series B funding round led by new investor Flat Capital (English).

• SweGaN (Linköping; semiconductor manufacturer): $14M in a Series B funding round from Thisbe, North Ventures, and existing shareholders (English).

• Solva (Stockholm & New York, AI for better insurance outcomes): $6M in a first funding round from First Round, Y Combinator, SV Angel, and angel investors including Paul Graham, according to a job ad (first spotted by Breakit) (English). ➡️ Solva first covered in PRO in August 2025.

• Solinide Photonics (Gothenburg, developer of silicon nitride photonic integrated circuits for optical interconnects): €4M ($4.7M) in a seed funding round co-led by Navigare Ventures and PSV Hafnium (English).

• Enaiblers (Uppsala, affordable AI-based diagnostics aimed at underserved communities): $2.1M grant from Japan-based Global Health Innovative Technology Fund (English).

• Incredible, formerly VISS.AI (Jönköping, personal voice assistant for Mac and Windows): $2M in a second pre-seed funding, bringing the total to $2.7M. This capital was raised from existing investors Starbright Invest and Spintop Ventures, as well as from angels (English).

• OrbDB (Stockholm; infrastructure that provides calibrated, verifiable guarantees for AI outputs): undisclosed amount – likely at least SEK15.8M – in a pre-seed funding round from Navigare Ventures, Trio Impact Invest, and KTH Ventures (English). ➡️ Funding first covered in PRO on May 12; startup first covered in July 2025.

• Eyedentity (Stockholm, clinically grounded AI-powered eye diagnostics solutions): SEK15M (€1.4M, $1.6M) in first funding from Norrsken Launcher, KI Innovation, and angel investors (English, Swedish). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO on February 4.

• Sisterly Tribe (Gothenburg, D2C sustainable yogawear brand for women): SEK10M (€1.05M, $1.2M) in a funding round led by existing investor Wellstreet (English).

• Aquacheq (Malmö, sensor for intelligent household water leak monitoring): SEK1.5M (€140K, $160K) in funding from HETCH Capital (English).

• Valigent (Umeå; platform helping R&D organizations turn early technical ideas into stronger, prior-art aware inventions): undisclosed amount in first funding from Partnerinvest Norr, Northern Light Capital, and Gorilla Capital (Swedish). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO on February 25.

• [PRO last week] An AI-native OS for healthcare raised yet-to-be-announced first funding at a valuation nearing SEK100M.

• [PRO last week] An AI-native advisory firm raised first funding from a company controlled by a high-profile Swedish financier.

• [PRO last week] A regtech startup raised fresh, yet-to-be-announced funding at a doubled post-money valuation of over SEK100M.

New startups added daily, many still completely under the radar.

• Two months ago, the Stockholm-based startup Tandela joined Y Combinator's summer batch. Now the founders have launched the new product Rence – an AI coach for in-person & field sales – and will participate in another YC program (English).

• Stina, a new startup co-founded by repeat founder Claudia Losciale, has emerged from stealth mode. The company's solution helps property owners reduce unnecessary costs and resource waste by giving buildings a living memory of their installed components. (English / STN PRO). ➡️ Startup first covered in PRO on May 21.

• Perspetivo is launching its version 2.0. The startup from Stockholm now offers organizations a platform to run their own representative surveys (English, Swedish).

• Ochno, the Swedish maker of "the world's best USB-C connectivity solution", turned profitable in 2025, while growth accelerated (English).

• Mentimeter, the Stockholm-based audience engagement platform, returned to profitability last year, and reached an ARR of SEK614M (English).

• Last year, the Lovable founders Anton Osika and Fabian Hedin have reportedly each realized SEK100M from selling a small stake in their company (Swedish / Breakit paywall). Osika has been deploying cash in numerous recent angel investments, in Sweden and internationally (ℹ️ Here are the Swedish ones I tracked).

• Apropos Lovable: The company's $7.5M pre-seed funding, announced in October 2024, is "probably the second-best pre-seed deal in European venture capital history (after Revolut)", according to early investor Guillaume Durao (English).

• One more about Lovable: Interesting longread by Nad Chishtie, Lovable's Head of Design, on how he and the team built the brand while rapidly scaling up (English).

• Emil Ahlbäck, a true Lovable veteran, is joining Energy, the recently unveiled San Francisco-based AI startup founded by Swedish OpenAI alumnus – and Depict co-founder – Gabriel Petersson (Swedish / Breakit paywall).

• Neko Health confirmed it will open its first U.S. clinic in New York's SoHo district on September 24. The "signature Neko Health scan" will cost $499 (English).

• Einride, the Stockholm-based provider of digital, electric and autonomous shipping technology, reported its first financial results as a publicly traded company (English).

• Velocity (formerly Snabbt) is again looking for entrepreneurial-minded young people in Sweden interested in joining a fully paid week in Silicon Valley with top Swedish entrepreneurs (English).

• The government presented Sweden's strategy for quantum technology (Swedish, machine translation).

• Society from Space Challenge 2026, a two-day hackathon bringing together Earth Observation, data science, social sciences, humanities, planning, and practice to address real-world challenges, will take place November 19-20 in Lund (English).

• The Swedish serial software acquirer Pamir is reportedly preparing to go public, likely during fall (Swedish / Breakit paywall).

• [PRO last week] A serial entrepreneur is now building a solution to automate starting and running companies, currently funded through proceeds from a previous exit.

• [PRO last week] A Lovable alumnus has founded a company with the stated goal of solving human productivity, and released a first product.

• [PRO last week] A young US frontier research lab has quietly opened a Stockholm office and is hiring.

• [PRO last week] Following substantial funding, a Swedish tech startup has lost 78% of its revenue over the course of two years, and turned from profitable to heavy loss maker.

• Artisan, maker of an AI business development representative named Ava which once became infamous for plastering San Francisco with billboards calling on companies to “Stop Hiring Humans", is now hiring a human for that very same role (English).

• Ahead of the upcoming Swedish election, all relevant parties are almost completely silent on AI (Swedish, Swedish #2).

• After buying Breakit, Dagens industri owner Bonnier News Business Sverige is now acquiring the technology media outlet Ny Teknik Group (Swedish, machine translation).

• Fortnox, the Swedish business software scaleup, is committing SEK50M to a ten-year research initiative by the Stockholm School of Economics aimed at answering a deceptively simple question: what actually makes a company successful? (English, Swedish).

• OpenAI will start to show ads in ChatGPT for users in Sweden (English).

• Sweden received the third-highest amount of international direct investments in Europe last year (Swedish, machine translation).

• Sweden faces a shortage of meteorologists (Swedish, machine translation).
